About

Chris Brannon is a founding partner of Georgia Estate and Elder Law, where he focuses on guiding families through estate planning, probate, guardianship, and elder law matters. A member of the State Bar of Georgia and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, he is known for protecting assets, navigating Medicaid, and ensuring long-term care solutions.

Chris earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law, graduating cum laude in 2005, where he served as Notes and Comments Editor of the Mississippi Law Journal. Before law school, he obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration in Banking and Finance from the University of Georgia in 2002, equipping him with financial insight that strengthens his elder law and estate planning practice.

Throughout his career, Chris has received recognition for excellence, including being named a “Super Lawyer Rising Star” and one of Georgia Trend’s “Legal Elite.” In 2020, he achieved the distinction of Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) from the National Elder Law Foundation, making him only the 12th attorney in Georgia to hold this certification. His expertise is frequently sought in speaking engagements on Medicaid, veterans’ benefits, and estate planning topics.

Beyond legal advocacy, Chris has been active in professional and community organizations, serving as a board member and past chair of the Atlanta Bar Association Elder Law Small Firm Section, as well as contributing to the Urban Clinic of Atlanta and the Decatur Rotary Club.
