Ethan R. Okura

Ethan R. Okura has devoted his career to guiding individuals and families through estate planning, wills, trusts, elder law, and asset protection. His practice also includes probate and trust administration, with an emphasis on helping clients shield their assets from costly nursing home care and ensuring that estates are protected for future generations.

Ethan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University in 1999, majoring in International Relations and minoring in Japanese. He then pursued his legal education at Columbia University School of Law in New York City, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 2002. During law school, he was honored as a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar and received the Parker School Certificate of Achievement in International and Comparative Law.

Ethan started his legal career as an associate attorney in the New York City office of Clifford Chance LLP, one of the world’s premier international law firms. After building a strong foundation in a major financial and legal center, he returned home to Hawaii in 2005 to concentrate on estate planning and serving local families. Ethan is licensed to practice law in both New York and Hawaii and is an active member of the Hawaii State Bar Association’s Probate and Elder Law Sections. He has also served on the Executive Board of the Elder Law Section, reflecting his ongoing commitment to elder law and estate planning in Hawaii.
