Charleen E. Merced Agosto is the founder of Merced Agosto Law, a general litigation firm committed to serving Connecticut’s diverse community in both English and Spanish. Her practice spans family law, real estate, bankruptcy, probate, and business matters, where she provides personalized legal solutions tailored to her clients’ needs.

Merced Agosto earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Rochester in 2005, where she minored in Spanish Literature and served as President of the Spanish & Latino Students’ Association. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2008. While in law school, she served as President of the Latino Law Student Association, worked with the Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association, and clerked for Hon. Edward J. Mullarkey in Hartford Superior Court.

Fluent in both Spanish and English, Merced Agosto is a trusted Connecticut attorney frequently appointed by local Probate Courts to represent minors, conservatees, and individuals with disabilities. Her family law practice covers divorce, child custody, child support, restraining orders, and post-judgment modifications. She also helps individuals file for bankruptcy and has successfully guided clients through hundreds of residential and commercial real estate transactions.

Charleen E. Merced Agosto has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2015–2022. She is active in professional associations, including leadership roles with the Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association and the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Center for Children’s Advocacy and is involved in community organizations supporting families and youth.
