Chad Adams is a Shareholder at Browning Kaleczyc Berry & Hoven P.C. He is also an experienced trial and appellate attorney who defends businesses, municipalities, correctional facilities, attorneys, and insureds in Montana state and federal courts. His practice includes appellate law, corrections defense and Section 1983 litigation, employment law defense, administrative law, insurance defense, products liability, medical malpractice, environmental and toxic tort matters, financial services, surety, and general civil disputes across diverse industries.

Chad earned his J.D. from Baylor University Law School and his B.A. in English and Philosophy from Utah State University. He is admitted to practice in Montana and Texas, as well as before Montana federal courts, the US Court of Federal Claims, the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the US Supreme Court, supporting a broad state and federal litigation and appellate practice across many complex matters.

Chad routinely handles appeals before the Montana Supreme Court and the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has represented governmental entities and correctional facilities in more than 100 matters involving personal injury, medical malpractice, negligence, and Section 1983 claims, including alleged constitutional violations. His employment work includes defending employers against wrongful termination, retaliation, discrimination, and sexual harassment claims while advising on risk reduction and dispute resolution strategies.

Chad Adams also represents clients before state boards, commissions, and agencies on regulatory matters involving health, environmental quality, utilities, licensing, insurance, transportation, and related issues. His broader litigation work includes negligence, intentional torts, products liability, contract disputes, business breakups, surety matters, retirement benefits, toxic torts, and state superfund matters. He also defends policyholders, insurers, and other parties in bad faith, liability, property, construction, and professional liability disputes in complex contested proceedings.
