Brittany Berkey

Brittany Berkey is a founding partner of DBMA Family Law Group and an experienced family law attorney based in Portland, Oregon. She focuses her practice on divorce, child custody, parenting time, spousal support, and protective orders. Known for her dedication to clients and her deep understanding of family law, Brittany has built a career around helping people navigate difficult times with clarity and compassion.

Brittany earned her B.S. cum laude from the University of Oregon in 1998. She received her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2002.

After law school, Brittany began her legal career as a trial attorney in the Bronx Family Court in New York, prosecuting child abuse and neglect cases. She later returned to Oregon and served as an AmeriCorps attorney at Legal Aid Services of Oregon, where she represented survivors of domestic violence. Her commitment to public service continued at St. Andrew Legal Clinic, where she spent nearly a decade representing low-income families in a range of family law matters, including cases involving child representation.

In 2013, Brittany co-founded Berkey Miltenberger LLC to expand her practice and reach more clients. She later co-founded DBMA Family Law Group, where she brings over two decades of experience and a strong collaborative approach to resolving legal issues.

Brittany Berkey is admitted to the Oregon State Bar and formerly practiced in New York from 2002 to 2021. She is a member of the Oregon State Bar Family Law Section and serves on the Family Law Executive Committee. She has also served on the Multnomah Bar Association’s Judicial Selection Committee and volunteers regularly with legal aid organizations. Recognized as an Oregon Super Lawyer for family law since 2021, Brittany continues to provide trusted, knowledgeable legal support to families throughout the region.
