About
Brittan E. Schwartz is an immigration attorney dedicated to advancing fairness, dignity, and equal rights within the immigration system. Fluent in Spanish, she represents individuals and families in complex immigration matters, providing clear guidance and compassionate advocacy in high-stakes proceedings that often carry life-changing consequences.
Brittan earned her Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law in 2012 after beginning her legal career in immigration law in 2007. She entered the field immediately after college as a legal assistant, building a strong practical foundation that continues to inform her strategic and client-focused legal approach.
Brittan’s commitment to immigration advocacy is shaped by early cultural and language immersion. Growing up in Oregon within a large Spanish-speaking community, she pursued Spanish studies throughout high school and college, including study abroad programs in Guatemala and Spain, and achieved fluency through daily client representation.
During the first years of her legal career, Brittan gained valuable experience working with a nonprofit organization and private immigration law firms in the Seattle area. In 2017, she opened her own practice, later co-founding Schwartz & Sheehan, LLP in 2019 to expand client services and impact.
Brittan E. Schwartz represents clients in removal proceedings, affirmative immigration applications, and humanitarian visa matters. She is admitted to practice in Washington and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, with recognition as a Super Lawyers Rising Star.
