Brian J. Woolf, Esq., is a seasoned Connecticut attorney with more than 45 years of legal experience. He represents clients in criminal defense matters at both the state and federal levels, as well as individuals seeking compensation for serious and catastrophic injuries. His practice includes assault, white collar crimes, DUI, drug offenses, domestic violence, weapons charges, and post-conviction relief. He also handles civil litigation and law enforcement defense matters.
Brian earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1977. He received a Master’s Degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1974 and a B.A. from Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1972. His strong academic foundation prepared him for a distinguished legal career focused on litigation and public service. He has been admitted to practice in Connecticut since 1977.
Throughout his career, Brian has represented numerous defendants in complex criminal cases and tried high-stakes matters in court. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and multiple federal district and appellate courts. As a member of the Federal Criminal Justice Act Panel, he provides representation to clients in federal criminal cases. His extensive courtroom experience reflects decades of dedicated advocacy.
Brian J. Woolf has received numerous honors, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and recognition as a Super Lawyer. He has also published legal articles and contributed to professional discussions on criminal justice issues.
