Brian D. Chenoweth

Brian D. Chenoweth is the founder and managing attorney of Chenoweth Law Group, P.C. (CLG), a Portland-based firm he launched in 2006. With over 25 years of litigation experience, Brian represents clients throughout Oregon and Washington in complex commercial disputes. His practice spans business, real estate, employment, environmental, insurance, and construction litigation, earning him recognition as a strategic and results-driven advocate for both plaintiffs and defendants.

Brian earned his J.D., cum laude, from American University, Washington College of Law in 1994 and his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Oregon in 1989.

Brian’s extensive legal experience includes shareholder and partnership disputes, trade secret cases, employment claims, land use challenges, and insurance coverage litigation. He has successfully represented clients in state and federal courts and is known for crafting efficient legal strategies that help clients resolve matters quickly and favorably. His real estate practice includes breach of contract, boundary, easement, and disclosure disputes, while his environmental work covers regulatory compliance, contamination claims, and consultant negligence.

He previously co-founded Rycewicz & Chenoweth, LLP and has also lectured extensively on insurance, land use, and environmental law. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts in Oregon and Washington, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
