Brett T. Kaehne is a Wisconsin criminal defense attorney and partner with more than a decade of focused experience. He has defended clients facing misdemeanor and felony charges across Wisconsin. His practice centers on protecting rights, challenging the government, and helping accused people face criminal cases with strong legal support.

Brett studied at University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Leflar Law Center, in Fayetteville, AR. He earned his B.S. from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, WI, in 2005, graduating cum laude with a major in Secondary Education. His honors included serving as Vice Chair of the Board of Advocates and recognition in trial advocacy.

Brett founded and grew a successful criminal defense firm in Sheboygan during the first six years of his career. In 2014, he joined Kirk Obear & Associates. In 2019, he joined Attorney Barrette in establishing a criminal defense law firm to serve accused clients throughout Wisconsin.

Brett has obtained dismissals of many misdemeanor and felony charges through constitutional challenges, negotiations, and not-guilty verdicts at jury trials. His courtroom work reflects careful preparation and a strong focus on the facts, the law, and the rights of each person facing criminal accusations.

Brett is admitted to practice in Wisconsin, 2008. He is a member of NORML Legal Committee, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and Sheboygan County Bar Association. He has presented at seminars, teaching criminal defense topics to defense attorneys.
