Blair E. Cody III

Blair E. Cody III is an experienced attorney and the founder of Cody Law Firm, serving clients throughout Hickory and Catawba County, North Carolina. His practice is built on aggressive advocacy, thorough preparation, and a commitment to achieving meaningful results for individuals and families facing serious legal challenges.

Cody completed his undergraduate studies at Lenoir-Rhyne University, where he was a team captain and standout student-athlete, before earning his Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law. During law school, he participated in moot court and mock trial programs and was selected by his peers to serve as class president.

Following graduation, Cody gained early courtroom experience working with the Durham County District Attorney’s Office under the third-year practice rule. He returned to Hickory to begin private practice, working with established local firms before opening his own firm in 2006 to better serve clients in his home community.

Cody’s practice focuses on criminal defense, family law, traffic offenses, and estate planning. He represents clients in matters ranging from serious felony charges and DWI cases to divorce, child custody, and probate matters, providing practical guidance and strong courtroom advocacy tailored to each case.

In 2021, Cody was selected to attend the Trial Lawyers College in Estes Park, Colorado, an intensive program dedicated to jury trial advocacy and justice-focused representation. He remains actively involved with the organization and regularly pursues continuing legal education to refine his trial skills.
