Benjamin K. Carmichael

Benjamin K. Carmichael has built his career handling a wide scope of litigation matters, including civil, employment, and oil and gas disputes. His practice also extends into consumer protection claims, nuisance law, and environmental issues. Ben earned his B.A. from Wichita State University in 2012 and went on to complete his Juris Doctor at Washburn University School of Law in 2016. While at Washburn, he received a certificate in Oil and Gas law and Natural Resources law and served as Comment Editor for the Washburn Law Journal. His academic focus laid the foundation for his future success in highly technical areas of litigation.

Ben is an accomplished trial lawyer with successful jury verdicts in both federal and state courts, showcasing his strong trial advocacy and courtroom skills. He also handles complex appeals and has argued before the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, giving clients experienced representation from trial through the appellate process. In addition, his published work on storage gas and the rule of capture highlights his deep expertise in energy and natural resources law.

Ben is admitted to practice in Kansas, the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
