Benjamin G. Greenberg is a nationally recognized trial attorney and shareholder at Greenberg Traurig, LLP in Miami. With over two decades of experience in criminal and civil government investigations, Benjamin represents corporations and individuals in matters involving white collar crime, healthcare fraud, financial institution fraud, SEC investigations, the False Claims Act (FCA), and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). As a former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, he brings unparalleled insight into federal investigations and regulatory enforcement.

Benjamin earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1999 and his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993.

Benjamin has nearly 20 years of experience with the U.S. Department of Justice. From 2017 to 2018, he served as U.S. Attorney, leading one of the nation’s busiest federal districts and supervising a team of more than 200 attorneys. He directed major national security, healthcare fraud, and corporate fraud prosecutions, including a $337 million healthcare fraud takedown, international FCPA enforcement actions, and precedent-setting extradition cases. Previously, he held senior leadership positions such as First Assistant U.S. Attorney and Chief of multiple criminal divisions.

In private practice, Benjamin continues to advise Fortune 500 companies, private equity firms, banks, healthcare providers, and global corporations. He also conducts internal investigations and provides strategic counsel on compliance issues involving the DOJ, SEC, and international law enforcement.
