Anthony M. DiGiacomo is a partner in New York focusing on commercial lending, leasing, private equity finance, acquisitions, and restructurings. He has over 35 years of experience handling asset based and cash flow loans, complex deals, and matters across health care, energy, and media sectors for clients.
Anthony earned a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 1991, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He received a B.S., summa cum laude, from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 1988 and was class valedictorian. His studies built strong skills in finance, law, and ethics.
Anthony represents banks, finance companies, and leasing companies in debt and leasing transactions. He also advises private equity firms on acquisitions and equity investments. He handles general corporate work, including formation documents, compliance, employment agreements, and contracts for clients across many industries.
Anthony served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for FirstLight Financial Corporation before joining Chapman. Earlier, he was General Counsel for GE Capital global businesses for ten years, including GE Healthcare Financial Services and GE Commercial and Industrial Finance, each with assets of eight to ten billion dollars.
Anthony began his legal career as a bankruptcy lawyer at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York. Before law school, he served as a Sergeant in the New York City Police Department. This background supports his practical approach to complex finance, restructuring, and corporate matters for clients.
Anthony representative matters include credit facilities, acquisitions, securitizations, and leasing deals. He has led workouts and restructurings involving exchanges of debt for equity and asset sales. He also supported equity offerings, investments, and major portfolio acquisitions for lending platforms.
Anthony M. DiGiacomo is admitted in New York and is a Connecticut Authorized House Counsel. He advises clients on banking and financial services, asset based lending, commercial lending, health care finance, mergers and acquisitions, and special situations.
