Annemarie Pantazis is a board-certified specialist in workers’ compensation law with over two decades of experience fighting for injured workers in North Carolina. She is known for her skilled legal representation, in-depth knowledge of the system, and commitment to protecting the rights of employees hurt on the job.
Annemarie began her academic journey at the College of William & Mary, where she earned her B.A. in 1994. She then earned her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1999. At Wake Forest, she was a published member of the Law Review and served as Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board, demonstrating her early leadership and legal writing skills.
Annemarie started her legal career defending workers’ compensation and personal injury claims. In 2002, she shifted her focus to helping injured individuals. This decision allowed her to advocate directly for clients needing support during one of the most difficult times of their lives. She now uses her legal expertise to help those injured at work obtain the benefits they are entitled to under the law.
Annemarie holds licenses to practice in all North Carolina state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Her deep experience has earned her many honors, including repeated recognition by Super Lawyers, and leadership roles in organizations like the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice.
