Andrew Orr

Andrew Orr is a partner at Holland & Hart LLP and the Administrative Partner of the firm’s Jackson office. He represents plaintiffs and defendants in high-stakes disputes at every stage of litigation. His practice includes contract disputes, business divorces, trust disputes, business torts, shareholder and founder conflicts, product liability, and injury and death cases. He has litigated in 25 states and tried cases to verdict in five, working across a wide range of industries.

Andrew earned a B.A., cum laude, from Colby College and a J.D. from Cornell Law School. At Cornell, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Cornell International Law Journal. Before joining Holland & Hart, he practiced at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in New York and Taylor Anderson LLP in Denver. His legal education and prior large-firm experience support a litigation practice that often involves complex commercial records, multiple parties, significant damages, and strategic decisions that must align with business objectives.

Andrew has represented trustees, founders, private equity funds, energy companies, technology businesses, manufacturers, insurers, and other clients in major disputes. His matters include commercial and contract claims, trust litigation, product liability, construction-related disputes, shareholder actions, cyber incidents, and catastrophic injury cases. He has obtained defense verdicts, summary judgments, dismissals, favorable settlements, and successful arbitration outcomes, and he regularly handles matters requiring intensive trial preparation and sophisticated case management.
