About
Anders Pedersen is an associate at Stoel Rives LLP in Boise, Idaho, and a litigator with experience representing clients throughout the litigation lifecycle and on appeal. His practice is focused on litigation, including the development of legal arguments, motion practice, case strategy, and appellate work. He assists clients with disputes that require careful analysis of the record, procedural issues, and the legal standards that govern trial court and appellate review.
Pedersen earned a J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2021, magna cum laude, and was named to the Dean’s List. He received a B.A. in Economic Sociology with a minor in Human Rights from Southern Methodist University in 2011. His academic training supports a practice centered on research, writing, argument development, and close review of legal and factual records in complex litigation and appellate matters.
Before joining Stoel Rives, Pedersen served as a term law clerk to the Honorable Lynn B. Winmill of the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho and as a summer clerk to the Honorable Ned C. Williamson of Idaho’s Fifth Judicial District Court. He also worked as an associate and summer associate at a regional law firm. His experience includes involvement in a successful Ninth Circuit appeal concerning an award of attorneys’ fees.
Anders Pedersen is admitted in Idaho and the United States District Court for the District of Idaho. He has received CALI Awards in Contracts I and Professional Responsibility and was a McNichols Moot Court finalist. His combination of clerkship experience, appellate exposure, and litigation practice gives him insight into how courts evaluate legal arguments and records. He uses that perspective to help clients prepare motions, navigate disputes, and present issues effectively on appeal.
