Andrew LaPorta

Andrew LaPorta is an attorney at Hepworth Holzer in Boise, Idaho, who represents injured, mistreated, and otherwise unrepresented people in personal injury matters. Earlier in his career, he worked with Idaho insurance defense firms, representing physicians and other professionals in malpractice cases and defending insurance companies accused of failing to honor policy obligations. He now uses that defense-side experience to advocate for individuals bringing injury and related claims.

LaPorta earned a JD from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah in 2014 and a BS from Brigham Young University in 2011. His legal education prepared him for litigation involving medical issues, insurance coverage, professional standards, and civil procedure. He is a member of the Idaho State Bar and Utah State Bar and participates in the Idaho State Bar’s Litigation and Health Law sections, reflecting the litigation and medical dimensions of his practice.

LaPorta’s earlier representation of insurers and professionals gave him insight into how defense teams evaluate claims, medical records, liability questions, and settlement risk. In plaintiff-side practice, he applies that experience when developing personal injury cases and communicating the client’s position to opposing parties. His work requires detailed preparation, an understanding of insurance practices, and the ability to organize medical and factual evidence in a way that supports negotiation or litigation.

Andrew LaPorta is also a member of the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association and holds an AV Preeminent peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell, as listed by his firm.
