Amy Kondrath Tanner is a partner at Bond, Botes, Sykstus, & Tanner P.C. and focuses her practice on consumer bankruptcy law in Huntsville and Decatur, Alabama. Since joining the firm in 1999, she has helped individuals and families address serious financial challenges through Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy filings. She is admitted to practice in Alabama and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Alabama, as well as the U.S. Tax Court.
Amy K. Tanner earned her B.S. in Justice and Public Safety from Auburn University at Montgomery. She later earned her J.D. from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. She was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1999 and began practicing bankruptcy law the same year, building decades of experience in federal and state courts.
Amy has guided clients through complex financial situations with clear advice and practical solutions throughout her career. She works closely with individuals facing wage garnishments, foreclosure, creditor harassment, and overwhelming debt. Amy Kondrath Tanner is an active leader in the bankruptcy community. She served as Alabama State Chair for the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA). She later joined the Board of Directors for the Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section of the Alabama State Bar. She has also spoken at legal seminars and educational programs, sharing her knowledge of bankruptcy law with attorneys and the public.
