W. Lance Owens

W. Lance Owens is a leader in the field of family law and creditors’ rights, known for strong advocacy anda steady courtroom presence. He represents clients in divorce, custody disputes, and complex financial matters. W. Lance Owens works closely with families and financial institutions, guiding them through difficult legal challenges with clarity and purpose.

Lance earned his B.A. in Psychology in 1986 from Harding University. He later completed his J.D. in 1989 at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. His education built a solid foundation in both human behavior and legal reasoning, which supports his practical and focused approach to resolving disputes.

Lance focuses much of his practice on Divorce and Family Law. He has received the AVVO 10.0 rating and earned the badge for Top-rated family lawyer for 2016 – 2020. He was also named Top Ten Family Law Attorney in the State of Arkansas for 2019 and 2020. Clients value his determined work in custody cases and his ability to protect parental rights.

Lance also handles creditors’ rights in state court and bankruptcy matters. He serves as Chairman of the Financial Institutions section of the Arkansas Bar Association and is past chairman of the Debtor Creditor section of the Arkansas State Bar Association. He is a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee in the Eastern District of Arkansas and contributes to the East Arkansas Bar Advisory Committee.
