Ameena earned her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School, graduating cum laude and receiving the prestigious Order of the Coif honor. She was a Dean’s Scholar and actively competed on the ABA National Moot Court Team, earning multiple top awards for oral advocacy and brief writing. Her academic excellence continues to shape her sharp and strategic legal approach.
At LADIES IN LAW®, Ameena is committed to proactive estate planning. Motivated by her personal experiences supporting a family member with disabilities, she now helps clients structure inheritances to preserve government benefits and family harmony. Her legal mission centers on education, prevention, and empowerment.
Outside her legal practice, Ameena is deeply committed to community impact and social change. She serves on the board of Figure Skating in Detroit, a nonprofit that mentors and empowers girls of color through skating, education, and leadership development. Her work advancing diversity, youth leadership, and equitable access to legal resources aligns directly with the core mission of LADIES IN LAW® and its commitment to uplifting underrepresented communities.
Ameena’s education also includes a magna cum laude degree in Communications and English from Oakland University’s Honors College, and study at the Arabic Language Institute of Fez in Morocco. Her cultural studies and academic research have earned numerous honors, including multiple scholarships and presentation opportunities.
