Amanda P. Reeves is a partner in Latham & Watkins’ Litigation & Trial Department and serves as Office Managing Partner in Washington, DC. Mandy advises and represents companies in antitrust and competition matters, including merger reviews, government investigations, monopolization claims, and complex litigation. Her work spans technology, life sciences, health care, aerospace, entertainment, sports, media, communications, agriculture, automotive, retail, and consumer industries.

Mandy earned a J.D., an M.A., and a B.A. from the University of Virginia. Her combined legal and graduate-level academic training supports a practice involving economic evidence, regulatory analysis, and strategic advocacy before competition authorities and courts. She applies that background when assessing business transactions, preparing responses to agency inquiries, developing litigation strategies, and explaining complex competition issues to corporate decision-makers involved in high-stakes transactions and disputes.

Mandy has led merger matters before the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division and the Federal Trade Commission from transaction signing through Second Request investigations, litigation, and closing. She also handles antitrust disputes and government investigations involving alleged anticompetitive conduct. Her practice requires close coordination with business teams, economists, and technical experts as clients respond to agency scrutiny, evaluate competitive risks, and defend important commercial strategies.
