Adam H. Friedman

Adam H. Friedman is a highly experienced restructuring attorney and the chair of both the Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Group and the Distressed Real Estate Group at Olshan Frome Wolosky LLP. He represents clients in corporate and real estate restructurings, Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, distressed asset investments, and loan transactions. Adam provides strategic guidance during complex financial situations, helping clients protect assets, manage liabilities, and pursue new investment opportunities.

Adam earned his J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 1993, where he served as Notes and Comments Editor for the Hofstra Labor Law Journal. He also holds a B.A. from Hofstra University, which he earned in 1990.

With decades of experience in bankruptcy and insolvency law, Adam represents a broad range of clients, including distressed investors, borrowers, lenders, and creditors. He advises on fiduciary duties, director and officer liability, fraudulent conveyance claims, liability management, and special situations. His background in law, finance, and business gives him a unique ability to deliver results through a practical, business-minded approach.

Adam also heads Olshan Frome Wolosky LLP’s Distressed Real Estate Group, where he advises clients on complex commercial, CMBS, and mezzanine loan restructurings and related litigation. He handles both in-court and out-of-court matters and is widely recognized for helping investors and stakeholders strategically capitalize on market dislocation and distressed opportunities. Adam is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, as well as in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of New York.
