Barbie D. Barbie began her legal career as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Cornelius J. Blackshear of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. She later honed her expertise at top law firms, including Tenzer Greenblatt LLP, Luskin Stern & Eisler, and White & Case LLP, handling high-stakes bankruptcy and restructuring cases.

Barbie earned her J.D. with honors from SUNY Buffalo in 1987 and received her B.S. from SUNY Stony Brook in 1984, graduating magna cum laude and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
