Adam Ackerman

Adam Ackerman is a corporate attorney who focuses on transactional matters, including domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, restructurings, and corporate governance. He represents private equity funds, privately held businesses, and publicly traded companies across many industries.

Adam earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law with a Business Law Specialization. He was a member of the UCLA Law Review, received the Dean’s Award, and was elected to the Order of the Coif. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Pomona College.

Adam advises clients across a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, logistics, technology, health care, agriculture, consumer products, energy, infrastructure, food, real estate, hospitality, and financial services. His work often involves complex transactions that support company growth and long-term business strategy.

Adam has represented clients in numerous high-value corporate transactions. His work includes advising Microsemi in several transactions, including its acquisition of Vectron’s high-performance timing business and its $10 billion sale to Microchip.

Adam has also represented major investors and private equity firms in investment and portfolio company transactions. These matters include advising Seidler Equity Partners, InterVest Capital Partners, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board, Mitsui, and Genstar Capital on acquisitions, investments, and strategic transactions.

Adam has advised companies on a variety of strategic business matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, and corporate restructuring transactions. His experience includes representing companies such as Guess?, Inc., Liberty Media, OMERS Infrastructure, and Madison Square Garden Company in complex corporate deals.
