About
Yvette M. Davis is the founder of an East Bay law practice focused on probate and trust matters. She represents clients in contested wills and trusts, estate litigation, and disputes involving fiduciaries, elder financial abuse, spousal rights, and creditors’ claims. She also assists with probate and trust administration and estate planning documents. Her work includes negotiation, mediation, and litigation concerning the management and distribution of estates.
Davis received her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2001 after earning a B.A. in History from the University of California, Berkeley. She was admitted to practice law in California in 2002. Her legal education preceded experience with public law offices and private firms, giving her a foundation for handling disputes and administrative issues that arise in probate, trusts, and estate planning.
Davis worked in the Oakland and Alameda city attorney offices and in the district attorney office in San Rafael. She later gained experience with two East Bay law firms, where her work covered trust and probate litigation, estate planning, and cases involving real property, business transactions, personal injury, and construction disputes. Today, her practice includes fiduciary accountability, contested estate matters, Heggstad petitions, and related questions of property ownership and administration.
Yvette M. Davis serves on the board of Legal Assistance for Seniors of Alameda County and participates in the Alameda County Bar Association’s Trust and Estate Executive Committee. She also provides co-counsel services to other attorneys facing probate and trust matters. Her combination of litigation experience and estate administration work supports clients seeking to resolve disputes over inheritances, fiduciary responsibilities, and the practical steps required to settle estates.
