Wyman R. Wade

Wyman R. Wade is a well-regarded civil rights attorney whose practice centers on municipal, employment, and collection law. From 2005 to 2017, he also shared his knowledge as an adjunct professor, teaching Legal Environment of Business at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith. With a distinguished career in both the legal field and public service, Wyman has made lasting contributions to his profession and his community.

Wyman holds a B.A. from Florida State University and earned both his M.A. and J.D., cum laude, from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Wyman served as president of the Sebastian County Bar Association from 1993 to 1994—a tenure during which the organization was honored as Arkansas’s Outstanding Bar Association. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Wyman served in the Air Force and has remained active in civic life, including a 21-year role on the Fort Smith School Board, where he served two terms as board president.

Wyman’s professional excellence has earned him numerous accolades. He received the Mayor’s Appreciation Award for his tenure as City Prosecutor for Fort Smith from 1992 to 2007. In 2012, he was honored as Outstanding Lawyer-Citizen by the Arkansas Bar Association/Bar Foundation. His achievements have also been recognized in Strathmore’s Who’s Who and the Global Directory of Who’s Who.

A former Editor-in-Chief of the Arkansas Law Review, Wyman R. Wade has written notable legal articles on civil rights and capital punishment. He regularly speaks at law enforcement seminars, sharing his deep insight on civil rights topics and reinforcing his ongoing dedication to justice and legal education.
