About

William Pylant has dedicated his career to guiding North Alabama families through the complexities of estate law. With extensive experience in estate planning, probate administration, and litigation, he has represented clients in will contests, heirship property disputes, and trust matters. His approach emphasizes practical solutions that protect both assets and legacies.

Will earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama, graduating magna cum laude. During his studies, he was elected SGA Executive Vice President, named one of the university’s ten outstanding seniors, and honored with the Lister Hill award for leadership. He went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. He was also active in the Student Bar Association and recognized in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.

Will began his career practicing with a prominent Alabama firm, where he handled estate planning, guardianship, conservatorship, and litigation involving will and property disputes. He later served as a trust officer at a regional bank, administering complex estates and trusts, while also assisting high-net-worth clients with planning strategies. These roles gave him practical insight into both courtroom litigation and private estate administration.

Will has also demonstrated leadership within the legal community, serving as past president of the Young Lawyers Section of the Huntsville Bar Association and participating on the Alabama State Bar Association’s Senior Lawyer–New Lawyer Task Force. His service extends beyond the profession, including his role as Treasurer of the Huntsville Botanical Garden’s Board of Directors and active involvement with Huntsville First United Methodist Church.

William Pylant combines practical legal knowledge with a commitment to service. Whether advising families in estate planning, resolving disputes through trial or mediation, or guiding trustees with complex trust matters, his work is focused on protecting client interests with diligence and care. Families throughout North Alabama rely on his experience to navigate important legal decisions.
