About
William Dreher is a partner in Keller Rohrback’s Complex Litigation Group in Seattle. He focuses on environmental, consumer, and tort cases for individuals and government clients. His work centers on trials, where he represents clients in high-impact disputes involving public safety, property loss, and corporate responsibility.
William earned a B.S.F.S., magna cum laude, from Georgetown School of Foreign Service and a J.D., summa cum laude, from Harvard Law School. At Harvard, he received the Fay Diploma and Sears Prizes and served on leading law reviews, building a strong academic foundation.
William has led or co-led major jury trials, including cases involving a state against an e-cigarette maker and wildfire victims in Oregon. That wildfire case resulted in a $56 million verdict. He also serves in the firm’s artificial intelligence practice and worked on a copyright class action.
Before joining the firm, William served for over five years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Washington. In that role, he prosecuted violent, property, and environmental crimes. He also led civil rights enforcement, including hate-crime cases and investigations into law enforcement conduct.
William also spent three years in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, where he prosecuted felony cases tied to the January 6, 2021, events at the U.S. Capitol. Earlier in his career, he handled environmental and commercial litigation at Jenner & Block LLP.
William has earned strong recognition for his academic and professional achievements. His honors include Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Sigma Nu at Georgetown, as well as multiple awards at Harvard Law School. His work reflects a consistent record of excellence in both legal scholarship and litigation practice.
William Dreher remains active in legal and civic organizations, including bar associations and the Federal Bar Association. He also teaches as an Affiliate Instructor at the University of Washington. He continues to guide clients through complex litigation with a focus on trial success and public impact.
