About

Whitney Beckworth is a skilled trial and appellate attorney who represents corporate and individual clients in complex commercial disputes, business torts, fraud claims, breach of contract actions, employment matters, oil and gas litigation, and insurance disputes. She manages every phase of litigation, from initial pleadings through discovery, trial, arbitration, and appeal in state and federal courts.

Whitney earned her B.A. Political Science, 2008 from Stanford University, where she was a four-year letter winner on the Stanford Women’s Tennis Team and achieved Pac-10 All-Academic Selection honors. She later received her J.D. in 2013 from The University of Texas Law School and served as a Staff Member of the Texas International Law Journal.

Whitney previously served as an assistant attorney general for the State of Texas, representing state agencies such as the Texas Secretary of State and the Texas Department of Public Safety in election law matters. She defended the State of Texas in a two-week federal trial and developed strong courtroom skills handling high-profile constitutional and administrative disputes.

Whitney has secured significant results for clients, including a high seven-figure settlement for a large E&P company after defective production casing caused multiple oil well failures. She obtained a $2.9 million arbitration award in a post-closing business dispute, won a jury verdict for a midstream oil and gas company involving defective pipe, and prevailed before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in a First Amendment case.

Whitney Beckworth has earned recognition for her legal excellence, including Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars, Thomson Reuters, 2022-2025, and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America, Best Lawyers®, U.S. News & World Report, 2021-2025. She was also named a 40 Under 40 Recipient by Fort Worth Business Press in 2023. Her results-driven approach and commitment to clients continue to define her litigation practice.
