Wayne M. Greenwald

Wayne M. Greenwald is a nationally recognized bankruptcy lawyer with over 30 years of experience representing individuals and businesses in debtor-creditor disputes and bankruptcy proceedings. His practice includes Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcies, involuntary bankruptcy, clawback litigation, and commercial litigation involving financial distress.

Wayne earned his Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York, College at New Paltz in 1973, followed by graduate studies in Sociology at the University of Wyoming (1973–1975). He obtained his Juris Doctor from Yeshiva University, Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, in 1979. He has been licensed in New York for 40 years.

After law school, Wayne held leadership positions, including Head of the Bankruptcy and Debtor/Creditor Department at Parker Duryee Rosoff & Haft (now Reed Smith), and later became Partner at Greenwald & Rimberg, LLP. He founded his current firm, Wayne Greenwald, P.C., in 2002, where he continues to represent clients nationwide.

Wayne M. Greenwald, Esq. was Co-Chair of the ABI’s Commercial Fraud Task Force. He also served as Assistant Chair of the DRI’s Creditors’ Rights group. He is a frequent lecturer and has authored legal publications on bankruptcy law and practice.

Wayne’s work has earned him honors, including an AV Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell and multiple selections to New York Super Lawyers (2007–2008, 2010–2011, 2014–2020). He is an active member of the Federal Bar Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Wayne M.
