Walter M. Berger

Walter M. Berger is a Partner and Co-Chair of the Houston Litigation Practice. He focuses on complex commercial litigation, including securities, antitrust, consumer fraud, energy, and contract disputes. He has handled major trials and resolved billions in claims, representing corporations, executives, and financial institutions in high-stakes matters.

Walter earned a B.A., cum laude, from Pomona College in 1992 and attended Cambridge University in 1991 through an international studies program. He received his J.D., with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law in 1996, building a strong academic foundation for his legal career.

Walter represents corporations, officers, and directors in securities litigation, derivative actions, and enforcement proceedings. His work also includes antitrust and consumer fraud class actions, as well as domestic and international arbitration. He has broad experience in trial and appellate courts at both state and federal levels.
