Walter H. Emroch is the founder and former partner of Emroch & Kilduff, the distinguished Virginia personal injury law firm he established in 1970. For more than five decades, he dedicated his career to protecting the rights of injury victims, earning a reputation for excellence, integrity, and unwavering client advocacy.

A lifelong Richmond native, Walter earned his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Virginia in 1961 and 1964, respectively. His deep roots in Virginia and his rigorous education formed the foundation for a legal career marked by leadership, skillful litigation, and a steadfast commitment to justice.

Throughout his remarkable career, Walter handled countless complex injury and negligence cases, setting a high standard for professionalism within the legal community. He served as President of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, Vice President and Board Member of the American Association for Justice, and was active in the Judicial Conference of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Walter’s dedication and courtroom success earned him numerous honors, including recognition as a Virginia Super Lawyer from 2008 to 2020 and membership in the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He was also named among The Best Lawyers in America and selected as one of Virginia’s Top 100 Trial Lawyers by the American Trial Lawyers Association.
