About
Victoria Slatton is the Founder and Managing Attorney of Slatton & Hass Immigration Advocates, PLLC. She brings more than a decade of experience in immigration law, federal litigation, and policy advocacy, with a career spanning private practice, government service, and national nonprofit leadership.
Before founding Slatton & Hass Immigration Advocates, Ms. Slatton served as a Partner at Sanabria & Associates, PLLC, where she managed a team of 30 immigration attorneys and more than 180 staff members. In that role, she handled the firm’s most complex and high-stakes cases before USCIS and the immigration courts, developed internal training programs, and led major business and financial initiatives for the firm. She also created an automated learning platform featuring a comprehensive forty-hour immigration law training course for attorneys and staff.
Ms. Slatton has been actively involved in impact litigation and public advocacy. She was a named plaintiff in a class action lawsuit challenging detention conditions at “Alligator Alcatraz” in partnership with the ACLU, and she has appeared in national media outlets including CNN, The Washington Post, and NPR to advocate for immigrant clients and highlight systemic injustices.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Slatton served as an Asylum Officer with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where she adjudicated more than one hundred affirmative asylum applications, conducted in-depth interviews, and drafted legal decisions following specialized federal training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. Her experience inside the system gives her a unique perspective on asylum law and government decision-making.
Through Slatton & Hass Immigration Advocates, Ms. Slatton focuses her practice on asylum, removal defense, family-based immigration, humanitarian relief, and federal court litigation. She is known for taking on complex and contested cases and for providing disciplined, strategic advocacy grounded in meticulous preparation and individualized client service.
