Farah Al-khersan

Farah Al-khersan is a skilled immigration attorney and the owner of Al-khersan Law PLLC. She focuses on asylum, family-based immigration, removal proceedings, and naturalization. Farah earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English and Spanish from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. She then graduated from Wayne State University Law School with her J.D. During her education, she gained valuable experience working at the University of Michigan Law School’s Pediatric Advocacy Initiative, helping immigrants apply for public and immigration benefits. In law school, she was a student attorney at the Asylum and Immigration Law Clinic and interned at the Detroit Immigration Court.

Farah had academic excellence and worked for the public interest that earned her several scholarships and awards. These include the Harry Klein and Shirley Klein Legal Scholarship, Marilyn Kelly Public Interest Endowed Scholarship, and Justice for Our Neighbors’ Dr. Kenneth Christler Volunteer Award. She also got the Mark Weiss Memorial Endowed Scholarship, WSU Law Dean’s Scholar, and Women Lawyers’ Association of Michigan Foundation Scholarship.
