About

Tricia Forte is an associate attorney with Hackman & Phillips Elder Law RI and has practiced law since 2021. Her practice focuses on estate planning, Medicaid planning, probate administration, trust administration, and guardianships. Forte works with individuals and families who need guidance on planning, asset and healthcare concerns, fiduciary responsibilities, and estate administration. Her prior healthcare-sector experience adds practical context to legal issues that frequently affect older adults and their families.

Forte earned a B.S. in Health Policy & Management and a B.A. in History from Providence College in 2007. She received an M.B.A. from the Sawyer School of Business at Suffolk University in 2010 and later graduated cum laude from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2020. Her education combines healthcare, business, history, and law, providing a broad foundation for estate, Medicaid, probate, trust, and guardianship matters.

Before law school, Forte worked in several areas of healthcare, including prescription benefits and hospice, and taught healthcare finance and health law full time at Providence College. During law school, she published an article in the Roger Williams University Law Review titled “Resolving the Circuit Split: Pleading Healthcare Fraud with Particularity.” Her professional background helps her address estate and elder-law planning issues that intersect with healthcare systems, finances, and family decision-making.

Tricia Forte is licensed in Rhode Island and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Her practice brings together legal training and substantial prior exposure to healthcare administration and education. She focuses on building relationships with clients and providing guidance through estate planning, Medicaid planning, probate and trust administration, and guardianship matters. This combination supports practical planning for families dealing with aging, incapacity, asset management, and estate responsibilities.
