Toni M. Sandin

Toni M. Sandin is the founder, owner, and managing partner of Sandin Law in Fargo, North Dakota. She focuses on estate planning, probate and trust administration, business succession planning, and estate and gift tax planning. Her practice also covers charitable planning, special needs planning, and real estate. As both a lawyer and a Certified Public Accountant, she combines legal and accounting knowledge when helping clients plan for assets and future transitions.

Toni earned an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Saint Thomas and received her Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 2005, graduating with distinction. She obtained her CPA designation in 2002. During law school, she participated in the North Dakota Law Review, completed a federal court externship, and worked as a law clerk with the Grand Forks State’s Attorney’s Office.

Toni previously worked in corporate and estate planning at Dorsey & Whitney and later managed a trust, estate, and charitable planning group at Gray Plant Mooty. She founded Sandin Law in 2009. Her experience includes advising on family business succession, charitable arrangements, estate and gift tax matters, and trust administration. She also speaks at professional events about real estate, special needs planning, and advanced estate planning topics.

Toni M. Sandin is licensed in North Dakota, Minnesota, Arizona, and South Dakota. She received a 40 Under 40 recognition in 2011 and a Top 25 Women in Business recognition in 2014. She became a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel in 2021. These professional activities complement her work helping families and business owners address long-term planning decisions.
