Tiereney Bowman is an associate in the litigation section at Cantey Hanger LLP’s Fort Worth office. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, where she advocates for clients in a range of legal matters. Tiereney earned her J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2023. During law school, she served as Senior Articles Director for the SMU Science and Technology Law Review and was Co-President of the Black Law Students Association. She holds a B.S. in Public Relations from The University of Texas at Austin, which she earned in 2019.
While at SMU, Tiereney gained hands-on experience representing abused and neglected children through the W.W. Caruth Jr. Child Advocacy Clinic. This experience sharpened her courtroom skills and deepened her understanding of client advocacy in sensitive, high-stakes cases. She brings the same care and strategic focus to her work today, representing clients in both state and federal courts.
Tiereney Bowman is licensed to practice in Texas and admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas, including the Eastern District Bankruptcy Division. Her training, combined with her leadership roles and litigation experience, positions her as a valuable asset to clients navigating disputes in a wide range of industries and legal contexts.
