Thomas R. Knight is a registered patent attorney and partner at Andrus Intellectual Property Law, LLP. He concentrates his practice on domestic and international patent and trademark prosecution, enforcement, and portfolio strategy. He counsels clients on intellectual property issues including patentability, clearance, infringement, and invalidity. Thomas earned his J.D., cum laude, from Marquette University Law School. He also holds an M.B.A. from Marquette University and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Thomas’s background in engineering and operations gives him a strong foundation for understanding complex technologies and helping clients secure meaningful IP protection. He has worked in engineering, manufacturing, and operational roles at a Fortune 50 company and holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification. This practical experience allows him to advise on innovations in fields such as medical devices, power systems, software, mechanical components, and consumer goods.
