Thomas C. Tretter is an experienced attorney who has been practicing law since 1990. Thomas began his legal career with the City of Boston Law Department as an Assistant Corporation Counsel after graduating from law school. In this role, he served as lead trial counsel in hundreds of cases involving personal injury claims, civil rights actions, and employment and labor disputes. He represented the City in both state and federal courts and argued appeals before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. This experience strengthened his litigation skills and ability to manage complex legal matters.
Thomas C. Tretter later focused his practice on civil litigation matters, including motor vehicle negligence, premises liability, workers’ compensation, employment claims, and domestic relations cases. He has also handled disputes involving mortgages, foreclosure challenges, and landlord-tenant issues. In addition, he serves as an arbitrator for FINRA and the National Futures Association, helping resolve financial industry disputes. His extensive courtroom experience and work in dispute resolution allow him to help clients reach fair and effective legal outcomes.
