Lou Mincarelli

Lou Mincarelli is a Partner in the Litigation Department at MacElree Harvey, Ltd., where he focuses on criminal defense law, family, and commercial litigation. Based in the firm’s West Chester office, he represents individuals and businesses in complex legal disputes. With decades of legal experience, including years serving on the bench, he brings strong courtroom knowledge and practical insight to every case. His work includes litigation, mediation, and arbitration, helping clients resolve disputes efficiently while protecting their legal rights.

Mr. Mincarelli earned his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law. His legal education prepared him for a career in both public service and private practice. During law school, he developed a strong foundation in legal analysis, advocacy, and courtroom procedure. The knowledge gained from his legal studies continues to support his work in litigation, mediation, and dispute resolution, allowing him to approach legal challenges with careful preparation and a clear understanding of the law.

Mr. Mincarelli has handled a wide range of legal matters throughout his career. Before joining MacElree Harvey, Ltd., he served as a Judge on the Chester County Court of Common Pleas, where he presided over civil, criminal, family, and juvenile cases. In that role, he oversaw numerous jury and bench trials and managed settlement conferences involving complex disputes. His experience on the bench gave him a balanced perspective on litigation strategy and the legal process, which now benefits the clients he represents in private practice.

Lou Mincarelli is a certified Civil Mediator through the National Judicial College in addition to his trial experience. He helps parties resolve disputes through mediation and arbitration when possible, reducing the time and cost of litigation. Earlier in his career, he served as a Victim Advocate and later as a prosecutor in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. These roles gave him valuable experience advocating for victims and pursuing justice, shaping his commitment to providing strong legal representation for his clients.
