Thomas B. Staley has devoted more than forty-eight years to practicing law in Arkansas, offering counsel to individuals, businesses, and organizations. His work has involved handling litigation across a wide range of industries, and he is highly respected for representing clients in particularly complex legal disputes. He has consistently maintained an “AV Preeminent” peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell for over three decades, a testament to his professional excellence.

Thomas began his academic journey at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where he graduated with honors in 1972. He was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa during his senior year and received the J. William Fulbright Award in history for his academic excellence. He then attended the University of Arkansas Leflar Law Center, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 1975. During law school, he contributed to the Arkansas Law Review as an Associate Editor, gaining valuable experience in legal research and analysis.

Thomas’s practice has long been centered on litigation and business-related legal challenges. He has advised private businesses while also advocating in disputes involving product liability, healthcare law, tort claims, contract matters, and employment-related cases. His ability to balance business representation with litigation has given him a broad perspective that benefits his clients, whether in negotiation or trial settings. His admission to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Arkansas Supreme Court, several federal district and bankruptcy courts, and multiple U.S. Courts of Appeal demonstrates the wide scope of his legal experience.

Thomas B. Staley continues to be recognized for his commitment to providing strong legal advocacy, using his decades of experience to navigate complex litigation and guide clients through challenging legal issues. He has also invested time in service to the legal community and beyond. He has been active with the Arkansas Bar Association, the Pulaski County Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute. His dedication extended to community leadership, including serving as President of the Arkansas Baptist Foundation’s governing board in 2013.
