Teree Nesvold is a lawyer in Brookings, South Dakota, focused on delivering clear, practical guidance to clients. Teree attended the University of Minnesota and earned a degree in History. She later graduated with honors from USD Law School in 2014. Her education built a strong foundation in research, writing, and analysis, preparing her to handle a wide range of legal issues with care in her future work.
Before law school, Teree worked as a loan officer, ran a business, and served as an accountant. After graduating, she was selected as the Third Judicial Law Clerk, working closely with judges and attorneys across the circuit and gaining valuable experience in a wide range of litigation and legal matters.
In 2015, Teree was hired as a Deputy State’s Attorney for Brookings County. She was promoted to Chief Deputy State’s Attorney and later appointed by the Brookings County Commission as State’s Attorney in February of 2018, building strong courtroom skills and leadership through her public service in that important role.
Teree is active in her community through ALTRUSA, Lions Club, Optimist Club, Brookings Empowerment Project, Rotary, and St. Thomas Moore Parish. She values service and community involvement, contributing time and effort to organizations that support growth, leadership, and local engagement across the Brookings area.
Teree Nesvold is building her practice in commercial, business, criminal, insurance, and civil litigation.
