Taylor Jones

Taylor Jones is a dedicated employment attorney based in Houston, Texas. She represents employees in a wide array of workplace legal disputes. In a landmark case, Taylor Jones successfully briefed and argued Waters v. Day & Zimmerman NPS, Inc., 23 F.4th 84 (1st Cir. 2022) before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. The court ruled in favor of workers, preserving jurisdiction over out-of-state plaintiffs in FLSA collective actions. This decision created a significant circuit split and reshaped collective action strategy in federal courts.

Earlier in her career, Taylor served as a Special Assistant State’s Attorney in Montgomery County, Maryland, representing the state in prosecutorial matters. She also clerked for the Honorable Harry C. Storm of the District Court of Montgomery County, gaining valuable insight into judicial processes and litigation strategy.
