Tammera R. Diehm is President and a Shareholder whose practice centers on real estate development and transactions. She handles buying, selling, leasing, developing, and financing real property, with significant work tied to mergers and acquisitions involving real estate. Her experience includes multi-unit properties in the downstream energy, convenience store, and franchise quick-service restaurant industries. Tammera earned a J.D., summa cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law and a B.A. in Political Science and Urban Studies, summa cum laude, from Augsburg University. She also completed Harvard Law School Executive Education’s Certificate in Law Firm Leadership. Her legal education included law review work and business-agreement drafting. She later clerked for Justice Russell A. Anderson of the Minnesota Supreme Court and completed a federal externship with Magistrate Judge Jonathan Lebedoff.

Tammera represents for-profit and nonprofit businesses in complex real estate and leasing matters involving multiple levels of government approval, environmental challenges, and public and private financing. She regularly appears before local governments and regulatory agencies on land use and permitting matters. Her background includes eight years as city attorney for a first-ring suburb and three terms as an elected Columbia Heights city council member, giving her practical insight into the legal and political dimensions of development and zoning.

Tammera R. Diehm combines transactional experience, municipal insight, and firm leadership with a practical approach to complex real estate matters. She is a Rule 114 Qualified Neutral for arbitration and mediation and serves as President of Winthrop & Weinstine’s Board of Directors. Her honors include Chambers USA recognition for zoning and land use and recognition by Best Lawyers in municipal, land use and zoning, real estate, and eminent domain and condemnation law.
