About
T. Hethe Clark is an accomplished Idaho attorney who focuses his practice on real estate, land use, and zoning matters. He regularly advises clients on land development, including subdivisions, conditional use permits, and planned-unit developments. His work also involves drafting and negotiating real estate agreements, leases, easements, restrictive covenants, and homeowners’ association documents.
Hethe earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations from Duke University in 2002. He continued his legal studies at Washington University in St. Louis, receiving his Juris Doctor in 2005. During law school, he led as Editor-in-Chief of the Washington University Global Studies Law Review and was honored with the Mary Collier Hitchcock Prize for excellence in writing.
Hethe’s practice extends beyond real estate transactions. He represents landowners in oil and gas leasing and guides business clients through formation, acquisitions, and licensing needs, including liquor and alcohol beverage licensing. In addition, he advocates for clients in litigation matters, managing administrative hearings, petitions for judicial review, and cases before Idaho courts and other jurisdictions.
Early in his career, Hethe clerked for Hon. Darla Williamson of Idaho’s Fourth District. Over time, he has earned significant recognition for his professional contributions. His honors include the Idaho State Bar Service Award, induction into the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, listings in Best Lawyers in America, and recognition in Chambers USA for real estate and land use expertise. He also maintains an AV® Preeminent™ rating from Martindale-Hubbell®.
T. Hethe Clark continues to be recognized as a leader in his field, with selections to Mountain States Super Lawyers and multiple distinctions as Lawyer of the Year in land use and zoning. He remains active in the legal community through the Idaho State Bar Association, Urban Land Institute, and the American Inn of Court No. 130, demonstrating both professional excellence and commitment to service.
