Stuart L. Rosenthal is a partner in Goodwin’s Private Equity group and leader of the firm’s Business Law Department in New York. He focuses on representing private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and corporate clients in a broad range of sophisticated business transactions.
Stuart earned his Bachelor of Arts from Emory University in 1993 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1998, where he served as Editor and Comment Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. Prior to law school, he worked at State Street Bank and Trust Company as a mutual fund accountant, providing him with practical financial sector experience that adds value to his transactional practice.
Stuart has significant industry experience in healthcare and healthcare technology, business services, manufacturing, industrials, defense, and technology. His clients include leading private equity firms such as Great Hill Partners, Primus Capital Partners, Behrman Capital, Towerbrook Capital Partners, and Peloton Equity. He has advised on high-value deals such as the $400 million sale of Ernest Healthcare, the sale of ArisGlobal to Nordic Capital, and the acquisition of Springstone’s behavioral health facilities.
Recognized for his excellence, Stuart L.
