Steven Thomas Meier

Steven Thomas Meier leads Steven T. Meier Attorneys at Law in Charlotte, North Carolina. His practice includes criminal defense, immigration law, personal injury, and selected civil disputes. He advises individuals and families dealing with criminal charges, immigration-related proceedings, and injury claims. His background in finance and public defense informs his approach to matters involving investigations, financial records, and court proceedings.

Steven earned a J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law in 1995 and a B.A. from Denison University in 1992. Before practicing law in Charlotte, he worked as a financial advisor with Prudential Securities. His education and experience in financial services contribute to his handling of matters involving white collar allegations, investigations, and legal questions connected with financial transactions.

He served with the Mecklenburg County public defender’s office from 1997 to 2001 before entering private practice. His work includes criminal matters such as DWI, drug charges, and federal defense, together with immigration issues including adjustment of status, family immigration, asylum, and removal defense. His firm also represents clients in claims arising from vehicle crashes and other personal injuries.
