Steven M. Anderson is a seasoned attorney at Ruder Ware, L.L.S.C. with more than three decades of legal experience. Since beginning his practice in 1988, he has built a strong reputation for practical problem-solving and sound legal judgment. Over the years, he has represented clients in courtrooms, arbitration hearings, and mediation sessions. His work has focused on helping individuals and businesses resolve lawsuits and disputes in a clear, efficient manner. While he no longer accepts new litigation matters, he continues to provide valuable legal insight in several important roles. He has handled a wide range of cases, including business litigation, estate and fiduciary disputes, banking and financial services litigation, tax controversies, health care litigation, and real estate and construction disputes throughout his career.
Steven earned his B.A. from the University of Minnesota – Duluth in 1985. He went on to receive his J.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1988. His education laid a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and courtroom practice, preparing him for a long and respected career in law.
Steven has also worked on appeals and business risk management matters. His broad experience allows him to understand both the legal and practical sides of a dispute. Clients have relied on him to protect their interests and help them move forward with confidence.
Steven M. Anderson advises the firm on regulatory compliance, risk management, and professional conduct in his current role as General and Ethics Counsel at Ruder Ware, L.L.S.C. He also mentors younger attorneys and serves as a mediator for attorneys outside the firm, helping parties reach fair and effective resolutions without prolonged litigation.
