Sterling A. Brennan

Sterling A. Brennan has built his career as a respected trial attorney known for his work across business and intellectual property litigation. He has led cases involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, antitrust, securities, contracts, and unfair business practices. His experience spans numerous industries, including software, smart home technology, energy, healthcare, biotechnology, and financial services, representing clients in high-stakes disputes across federal and state courts nationwide.

Sterling earned his B.A. in Economics from Brigham Young University before completing his J.D., cum laude, at the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. Following law school, he clerked for a federal district judge in Los Angeles, an experience that deepened his understanding of courtroom procedure and sharpened his analytical skills early in his career.

Sterling’s extensive litigation record includes serving before the Ninth, Tenth, and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal and even the United States Supreme Court. He has held leadership positions such as chairman of the Business Litigation Section of the Orange County Bar Association and past chair of the Orange County J. Reuben Clark Law Society. His practice includes appellate advocacy, arbitration, mediation, complex commercial disputes, and intellectual property enforcement, covering patents, trade secrets, and trademarks.
