About
Stephen T. Connolly is counsel in the Real Estate Law Group at Adler Pollock & Sheehan P.C., with offices in Boston and Providence. He represents commercial real estate developers, purchasers, sellers, borrowers, and lenders. His practice covers acquisitions, dispositions, project development, financing, and business transactions. He also advises landlords and tenants on leases for office, warehouse, retail, laboratory, and medical properties in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Stephen earned a B.A. from Providence College in 2005 and a J.D. from Villanova University in 2009. His training supports legal work involving property transactions, financing documents, and the rights of commercial tenants and landlords. Before joining his current firm, he represented buyers, sellers, and lenders in residential real estate transactions and worked with banks and mortgage servicers on foreclosure matters. That background informs his handling of complex commercial property issues.
Stephen represented a buyer in a $200 million office building acquisition in Boston’s financial district, negotiating the purchase agreement and reviewing title and zoning issues. He also represented a borrower in a $34 million mortgage loan involving mixed-use property in Boston. Other matters include negotiating a ten-year, 40,000-square-foot office lease, counseling a medical services organization on leases, and handling a Rhode Island foreclosure involving a golf, marina, and equestrian property.
Stephen T. Connolly is admitted to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. His experience covers real estate deals at different stages, from initial property review through financing and occupancy arrangements. He helps clients address title, zoning, contract, and loan concerns while keeping attention on the terms needed to complete a transaction or manage an existing property relationship.
